Some of the notable features of Flume are as follows −įlume ingests log data from multiple web servers into a centralized store (HDFS, HBase) efficiently. It guarantees reliable message delivery.įlume is reliable, fault tolerant, scalable, manageable, and customizable. The transactions in Flume are channel-based where two transactions (one sender and one receiver) are maintained for each message. When the rate of incoming data exceeds the rate at which data can be written to the destination, Flume acts as a mediator between data producers and the centralized stores and provides a steady flow of data between them.įlume provides the feature of contextual routing. Using Apache Flume we can store the data in to any of the centralized stores (HBase, HDFS). Apache Flume supports complex data flows such as multi-hop flows, fan-in flows, fan-out flows. Each song blends together like a true mix presentation. It is a distributed system with tunable reliability mechanisms for fail-over and recovery. Flume still has that wonky quality, but it rightly reinvents his sound with some fresh bang. Here, Apache Flume comes to our rescue.įlume is used to move the log data generated by application servers into HDFS at a higher speed. Cover each fan blade one at a time with a clean pillowcase. To dust ceiling fans, I like the pillowcase method. While you’re cleaning the light fixtures, take the time to replace any burned out bulbs. If the light coverings are particularly dirty, take them off and wash them or wipe them down with a microfiber cloth with warm soapy water. Run a microfiber cloth or dry Swiffer duster over the light fixtures to get rid of dust and cobwebs. Follow the instructions on the curtains for washing and drying them safely. For cloth curtains and window coverings, take a vacuum attachment to clean them or take the coverings down and run them through the washing machine. For blinds, run a dry microfiber cloth or Swiffer duster over them. Over time, dust, hair, and small debris collects on curtains, blinds, and other window coverings. Allow them to dry completely before fitting them in the windows again. For best results, remove the screens from the windows before cleaning them. To clean window screens, wipe them down with a microfiber cloth with warm soapy water. Between the two hacks, you’ll be able to remove all the dirt in the window tracks with ease. The second hack is for the ridged portion of the window track, which involves scoring a sponge with a utility knife. First Home Love Life and The Intentional Mom share their best tips for this cleaning strategy. The first hack is for the smooth portion of the window track, which involves using Q-tips or an old toothbrush. Fear or avoidance of places that remind them of eventīabies and toddlers are smart people. If the emotional distress happens consistently when the child is exposed to that environment, it could be a symptom of PTSD.Ĥ. When subjected to an environment that looks, sounds, smells, creates the same physical sensations, or evokes similar feelings, they often respond with emotional distress. Infants and toddlers who have been traumatized remember preverbal trauma as visual images, sounds, smells, physical sensations, and emotions. Emotional distress when reminded of initial trauma But when a baby is clingy from a much earlier age and whose separation anxiety persists into toddlerhood, the behavior may indicate the development of PTSD.ģ. Most babies go through a clingy period between the ages of 6 and 12 months. Or, "She's a worrier." But the behavior could be a symptom of PTSD. Adults often consider the behavior to be part of the child's personality. What are some of the behavioral symptoms to look for?Ī baby who is tense, watchful, or on guard even when in a familiar, comfortable, and safe environment is hypervigilant. By closely observing their behaviors, caring adults may notice symptoms related to PTSD. But the behaviors of infants and toddlers who have experienced significant trauma can offer clues that indicate the development of PTSD. They can't describe a nightmare or flashback. Because babies are preverbal and toddlers' language development is limited, they can't verbalize their fears. PTSD symptoms manifest much differently in babies and toddlers than in older children, adolescents, and adults. And for diagnosis to occur parents and health care professionals must be aware of the symptoms of PTSD.īehavior Reveals Symptoms of PTSD in Babies and Toddlers Before effective treatment can occur, the condition must first be correctly diagnosed. The good news is that effective treatments for PTSD exist, and they can be used with children as young as three. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a reality for many babies and toddlers with special needs. Parenting Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in Babies and Toddlers: What Are the Symptoms? What’s great about licensing is that you are able to fill in the gaps when art sales are at a low or in a seasonal slump. I built a larger following and soon had regular paychecks coming in the mail! Residual income builder and gap filler It was wild when just one day, opening up my email to find requests on a regular basis. Because of sites like Art.com and, I have signed on with product companies that now feature my work in stores like Bed Bath & Beyond, Target and art shops across the US. They found my art through sites like Art.com and emailed me to ask how they could put my work on their products. This was ironically a great way to also acquire new licensee clients. I even acquired several custom commissions from clients who wanted something ‘larger’ than what the print sites were offering. This was invaluable to my business and helped me grow as an artist and a business person. For a time, because of Art.com’s program, I was exposed to a broader audience than I could’ve encountered through my site alone. It would turn out to be a great option for extra income as well as exposure to future collectors. I then discovered other Print on Demand sites like and. It was a great option, because I didn’t have the equipment or funds to offering prints directly from my studio. They offered a decent typical market royalty to artists for every print sold and even later, a small percentage on their framing, which they do in-house. Back in 2005, I used their Print-on-Demand program for artists, which means they print orders as they are taken. When I began licensing, it was through the well known site, Art.com. Interestingly enough, it was simpler than it appeared to be, thought not without some work. I had no idea how licensing worked or what was expected. “They have thousands of fans and their art has to be in galleries everywhere.” “Those artists must be veterans by now,” I figured. Did the company find them? Or did the approach come from the artist? It appeared a daunting and impossible achievement. I saw artists launching clothing lines, doing book signings and licensing their art on collectables with well known brands. I wanted to find other avenues of making money from my work, but I wasn’t sure how. There was no middle man involved and I preferred it that way. I had more control over my work, when it was available and where I could place it for sale. It was so much more exciting than hanging it on a wall in a gallery. When I began as an artist, I was really enjoying the experience of selling my work directly to people. About This Game About The Jackbox Party Pack 8The eighth installment of the beloved Jackbox Party Pack franchise is here! Five hilarious new games will energize your next game night, holiday party, happy hour, or video call. You need to stack cards by suit, from Aces to King (A, 2, 3 and more). There is one deck - 52 cards in the classic Solitaire Klondike game. To solve this Solitaire Klondike card puzzle, you should move all cards of 4 suits - hearts, diamonds, spades and crosses to the Foundations. Solitaire games, also known as Patience in Europe (such as the United Kingdom, French, etc.), are Solitaire card games, and can be played by a single player. You can move cards around, but they can only go on cards that are 1 number higher and the opposite color.Enjoy the excellent classic and popular Solitaire card games at any time and place! It's time to relax, relieve stress, train your brain, challenge yourself and be a Klondike or Patience master, try this classic Klondike Solitaire cards game! Keep playing like this until you’ve moved all of the cards into the corresponding suit piles in ascending order, or have run out of cards that you are able to move. Whenever you are stuck, you can continue flipping over sets of 3 cards from the reserve pile as long as you’d like, but make sure to never shuffle it. If you can’t, flip over 3 more cards from the reserve pile. If you can, play it and then see if you can play the card underneath it. Once you come to a point where you can’t move any more cards, flip over the top 3 cards from the reserve pile, and see if you can play the top card anywhere. Continue to move the face-up cards around the playing area and into the 4 suit piles. Then, when you encounter the 2 in that suit, play it on top of the ace, followed by the 3 in that suit, and so on. If you have a face-up ace, place it above the playing area to start one of the 4 foundation piles you need to win the game. When you move a face-up card and expose a face-down card underneath it, turn the face-down card over. You can move a face-up card to the bottom of another column if the face-up card you’re playing it on is a different color and one number higher than it. To start the game, look at the face-up cards to see if you can move any of them to access the face-down cards underneath. Place the remaining cards in a pile off to the side. Repeat until every column has a face-up card at the bottom. Once you finish all 4 foundation piles, you win! To set up the game, first place 1 card face up and 6 cards face down to the right. To play solitaire, try to get all of the cards into 4 foundation piles, 1 pile per suit, in ascending order from ace to king. Once all of the reserve cards have run out, you can take them from the discard pile and return them to the reserve pile so you can keep removing cards from the pyramid. If no cards can be made into pairs, the next reserve card is flipped over. The top card of the reserve deck can also be used to make 13. Kings are 13 points, queens 12, jacks 11 and the rest of the cards represent their face values (aces are 1.) For example, you could remove a king you could also remove an 8 and 5, because they add up to 13. You can only remove cards that have a value of 13. Remove cards one at a time or in pairs.Create a reserve pile with the left over cards.Note that some people play that you only use 21 cards to make the pyramid. Each row should overlap the row above it. until all 28 cards have been placed in the pyramid. It should be stacked so that the rows are made of one card, then two cards, then three cards, etc.
And supplied an unsupported version of QuarkXPress 10 that runs on El Capitan to our users.Īgain free of charge. Therefore we invested substantial engineering and testing time to remove the typical crash scenarios of QuarkXPress 10 on El Capitan. Yes, we do believe that this is "customer service". Instead we wanted our users to be able to at least run previous versions of QuarkXPress on El Capitan, so version 10 too. And as far as I know none of them support previous versions of their apps on El Capitan. Or charge for an El Capitan compatible upgrade. If you look at the other players in the industry, many still don't officially support any of their versions on El Capitan or have just recently done so. And we did achieve this quite quickly, it took us only 9 days to support the latest version of QuarkXPress 2015 on El Capitan, and of course provided this free of charge. Our priority was then to make the current version of QuarkXPress 2015 run smoothly on El Capitan as quick as possible. Especially since the older, Carbon-based versions (eg Version 8 and 9) run pretty smoothly on El Capitan with some minor flaws. As we don't know what Apple is changing in the next major upgrades of OS X, we were surprised too that the modern (Cocoa-based) versions of QuarkXPress crashed on El Capitan though running fine on Yosemite. We couldn't guess in 2013 (release of QuarkXPress 10) what would be the situation in the year 2015. I understand that you would like to use your version of QuarkXPress as long as possible even though Operating Systems change. If not, then we need to find out the cause on your machine – with your help please. For example by email at QuarkXPress 2015 has no known El Capitan specific issues, it is most likely one of the above. If that all doesn't solve it, please contact Quark's support. Speaking of those, check them while you are at it. Do you use a Anti-virus Software? On Windows quite common though I have seen that on OS X occasionally too and that might conflict with access rights.Remove them completely out of the QuarkXPress folder please to be sure. Disable 3rd party XTensions (such as Font Management) XT.Does it work now? Then it might be a corrupted font. If not, disable all fonts except system fonts please.Delete preferences and restart QuarkXPress 2015.11.2 is the first version to support El Capitan. Make sure that you use QuarkXPress 2015-11.2 please. So I can only repeat what has been already answered you there: I have seen that you have posted this in different forums and on Quark's social media sites. Without major threats to control over the region and naval supremacy in the bay and nearby Atlantic coast, the British decided not to garrison fortifications on the Delaware. In 1664, after the Dutch surrendered New Netherland to the British, they quietly abandoned their forts on the Delaware. The regained Dutch influence on the Delaware River was short-lived. New Sweden soon seized Fort Casimir, but had neither the resources nor manpower to construct and hold such a fort as aggressive New Netherland Director-General Peter Stuyvesant (1612-72) sent a thousand-man expedition up the Delaware in 1655 to retake the defensive works and bring an end to New Sweden. The new fort stood well below the Swedish forts and promised to stop Swedish ships entering the bay and river. The Dutch West India Company naturally responded to New Sweden’s threat to New Netherland’s commercial monopoly on the South River by strengthening Fort Nassau, building a number of small, fortified trading posts across the river, and erecting Fort Casimir where the river met the Delaware Bay (later the site of New Castle, Delaware). Johan Printz, the third governor of New Sweden, oversaw the construction of Fort Nya Elfsborg and Fort New Gothenburg before resigning from his position in 1653. When Lieutenant Colonel Johan Bjornson Printz (1592-1663), a veteran of the Thirty Years War (1618-48), became governor of New Sweden in 1643 he further fortified the colony with Fort Nya Elfsborg (Elsinboro, Salem County, New Jersey) and Fort New Gothenburg ( Tinicum Island, Pennsylvania) upriver on the west bank a mile south of Fort Nassau. The New Sweden Company dispatched more than a dozen expeditions over the next decade bringing Swedes, Finns, Dutch, and German settlers to the Delaware, then known as the South River. Both fortifications served as centers for fur trading, and Fort Christina also developed as an agricultural settlement. Their rivalry led to construction of Fort Nassau, built in 1626 by the Dutch West India Company on the east bank of the Delaware (the future site of Gloucester City, New Jersey), and Fort Christina, built in 1638 by the New Sweden Company at the confluence of the Christina River and Brandywine Creek (the future site of Wilmington, Delaware). The earliest fortifications in the lower Delaware region resulted from the intense economic colonial rivalries and wars of the early seventeenth century, as Dutch, Swedish, and English Protestant capitalist states battled Spanish, Portuguese, and French Catholic kingdoms for control of the North American and West Indian trade and settlement. As important structures with such long histories, forts help to explain the political, economic, and social history of the Greater Philadelphia region. Groff for the Encyclopedia of Greater Philadelphia.)Ĭonstructed from the seventeenth through the mid-twentieth century, defensive fortifications along the lower Delaware River and bay guarded the region during times of international and sectional upheaval. Today, the fort’s long history is a foundation for educational programming and events that support restoration and maintenance.
